For you!

Holding on to everything that I have, holding on to youth, holding on to memories, holding on to friendships...
I found this little feather yesterday desperately holding on to this twig, holding so tightly...what a beautiful thing, to hold on dearly to the things and people that we love.

Photography has allowed me to express every feeling, good or bad. If it's a bad feeling I usually feel so much better after having tried to portray it through a photo... if it's good, well then I want to shout it from the roof tops!

This is to my photographer friends, you all know who you are. You have encouraged me, tutored me, helped me, and supported me. I thank you from the bottom of my heart, I would not be the photographer that I am today if it weren't for you!
And HBW fellow photogs!

"I tried to remember how to exhale. I had to look away before it came back to me" Bella in Twilight.
Yes... Yes.... I'm HOOKED and I can feel the depression setting in because I'm almost finished with the last in this awesome series of books. :( *sigh* oh well, have to find something else to make my life exciting. :P

Chaos ensues

I love to dance, I danced my whole adolescent life and I now take an adult dance class and it is my time to be me, to not be a wife or a mom. Sometimes we need to step away from those things that we "think" define us and find ourselves again, if only for a moment.

This weekend my twins are in Ballet Arts Center's production of the Nutcracker. We have dress rehearsal this evening and our performances on Friday and Saturday  night. To say that I'm probably more excited and nervous than them is an understatement. :)

I hope to post photos tomorrow of dress rehearsal.
For now, random shots. Oh how I miss summer.... warmth, sunshine, shorts and flip flops... think warm with me. It looks to be a cold day today.
Have a great day, it's sleeting here. LOVELY...

My quote and thought for the day

Go for it now, the future is promised to NO ONE. - Wayne Dyer

This is how I feel and I need to remind myself sometimes, but do it... go for it, you never know how much time you have left...

So lick the bowl clean, make that first move, do it... if you've been waiting, DO IT! Take the step, make the leap.... life is too short to be bored, to wonder, to agonize over other people's feelings. For so long I pleased everyone else, not any more... I want to, for once in my life, please myself.

Now, enjoy a little bowl licking action. :)

Xmas is upon us

I have been BEYOND busy.... besides having sessions that I have loved doing... the girls are in the Nutcracker and that has consumed every weekend afternoon, for them. :P Of course I'm the taxi...

Also, right before Halloween our bathroom (upstairs) decided to call it quits, sort of.... it was leaking horribly and basically had to be gutted and re done. So we've had one hell of a couple of months. Needless to say that the bathroom is almost finished, Jack is sad because he has a new buddy, "Bob" our friend that is doing the work. I know that he will miss his at least twice a week visits... Jackson has laid tile, (in a three year old sense) broken the tiles for him, tested the sink, etc. He even helped auger out our sewer when Bob had to do it.

So, I'm ready for Xmas to be over so that I can have a rest...
Here's a few Charlie Brown photos for your viewing enjoyment. :)

Jones Family

I'm late on posting some favorites from this session, things have been crazy.

But here are a few of my favorites.
